Guys and girls, mark your calendars for a weekend away in Palmerston North City & Manawatu from the 14th to 16th of November! Get your mates and your better-halves together for a weekend of food, shopping and fun for everyone.

The popular Cross Hills Garden Fair in the high altitude village of Kimbolton, features over 140 handpicked boutique stalls ripe for the picking, and is a fantastic opportunity to kick off your Christmas shopping.
Live music and decadent gourmet food stalls will provide the energy needed for your day of shopping. After lunch, relax and soak up the peaceful countryside air and take a stroll through the 7 hectares of lush world-renown gardens which will be in full bloom. Or why not pre-order a picnic hamper, sit amongst the beautiful gardens with a glass of wine and be a real lady of leisure? Sounds like bliss!
For the guys, The Man Show is a cross between an old fashioned AMP show and a Big Boys Toys event, showcasing what’s great about being a man.
Spend the day checking out the latest toys and gadgets including cars, bikes, hunting & fishing gear, games and everything a man could ever need.
You’ll be kept content with a tasty selection of true bloke food and cold beer on tap, which will give you stamina to try out the different activities and watch the displays!

Kick start the day with an ‘Eggs Bennie’ or a local favourite ‘Avo Smash’ from Tomato Cafe on George street.
After a hit of caffeine, girls its time to say goodbye to the guys as you’re in for a girls day out. Take a scenic drive north to the world-renown Cross Hills Garden Fair in Kimbolton, and shop, eat, and indulge to your heart’s content.
Guys its time to celebrate the things you love about being a man and head to The Manawatu Man Show. Once you’ve had enough, grab a pint and wait for the girls to get back.
Top it all off with a delicious meal at one of the many inner city restaurants, where you can catch up on stories from the day.
Sunday 16th November:
While the guys head for a round of golf at the all new Orlando Country Club 9 hole golf course, girls its time to explore the boutique shops and yummy cafes along George Street and Coleman Mall, where blossoming cherry trees and café chairs adorn the streets.
Or if your feeling active stop off at Te Apiti – Manawatu Gorge and take a walk through one of the five scenic walks ranging from 15 minutes to 4 hours.
