Rangiwahia Bush Reserve Walk

Time:  1 hour  |  Distance: 2.9km Return  |  Fitness: low-moderate

Discover this hidden stand of native virgin bush reserve in the historic settlement of Rangiwahia Village. There are some stunning viewpoints along the way, and birdlife is plentiful at certain times of the year.

An orange triangle marks the entrance of the paper road, with smaller orange markers used to guide you along the track itself. Take a walk, most people take one hour to complete, and well worth the taking the time experience.

Left untouched by early settlers, this 130 acre native virgin bush reserve is a beautiful treasure, with many native species including rimu, miro, matai, maire, kahikatea, rewarewa and several species of rata.
