Spring Grove Farm Park

Situated in the picturesque Pohangina Valley, our Farm Park specialises in the rare and unusual, with a focus on allowing children to be able to have a hands-on experience. Enjoy the view while having tea/coffee etc.

Visit the unique cat house where the rare breed cats enjoy the luxury of their own 1/4 size 4 roomed house. See them in school, watching Garfield videos or just relaxing at home.

Our aims and objectives

As members of the Rare Breed Society, we are active in our efforts to maintain and increase the population of rare breeds. We have programs to breed the extremely rare: Enderby Island Rabbit, Middle Eastern Karakul Sheep, Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys and the Rawhiti Miniature Goat.

Our animals have been reared to be hand fed by visitors - Highland Steer, Rabbits, Cats, Dog, Large Fowl, Bantams, Donkeys, Llama, Alpaca, Pigs, Sheep and Goats.

Groups & School Trips

We have a range of programmes to cater for different age groups. Some of the things we offer include: Map of the area, Different areas for exploration, educational information, educational games, areas for lunches, hand washing areas, bus parking area
